James has more than twenty-five years of successful high-technology industry and business experience. He has accumulated extensive technical and commercial knowledge of the semiconductor/IP, EDA and embedded software sectors, the key SoC leaders and fabless start-ups over the years.
He previously served as a:
- Director at Cadence Design Systems [Nasdaq:CDNS], with responsibility for Sales and Support operations within Cadence’s Quickturn Business Unit.
- Synopsys‘ European Strategic Group – EPIC Design Technology, Inc. (acquired by Synopsys, Inc. [Nasdaq:SNPS] in 1997) based in Grenoble, France.
- European Regional Director at Applied Microsystems Corporation [Nasdaq:APMC], based in Paris, France.
- Various roles at Motorola [NYSE:MOT] (Semiconductor Products Sector, now Freescale)
James started his career with STC Defence Systems (now Northern Telecom) in R&D and then as a Hardware Design & Development Engineer (Analog/Digital electronics and Gallium Arsenide Lasers/Microwave/RF) involved on major telecommunications sub-contracts from Plessey originating from the UK Ministry of Defence and the DoD of North America.
James received his Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, from the University of Plymouth, Devon, England, UK in 1985.
